A.I. Poker

A poker game played against four artifically intelligent opponents, who have learned everything from first principles over the course of a million games played amongst themselves.

DrumMachine

This drum machine allows a user to set the tempo, the number of beats per bar, and the elements of the drum kit, then drum beats can be added by simply clicking (or clicking and dragging for drawn out sounds e.g. snare rolls), with the beat snapping to the nearest beat, half-beat, quarter-beat, etc as set by the user. Bars are saved and loaded into a track, so repeated bars can be laid down once and then added to the track as needed.

ThemeFinder

This website, and the Lamson website, have both been designed using the ThemeFinder program. In both cases a photograph was chosen for the home page, and the dominant web-safe colours in that photograph were used throughout the site. This process allows a designer to be inspired by colours found in nature, rather than using the tried and tested colour schemes common to most commercial sites. The algorithm to find the dominant colours works by setting a number of variable colours so as to reduce the sum of distances (in colour space) squared between them and the color of each pixel in the image.
